Anonymoose had gotten ANOTHER mask because of course he did!

I madly dashed for the door.

That kid had gotten away from me too many times already! I wasn’t about to let him get away again, especially because he was egging me on by watching me!

I burst through the library doors and tackled the kid like he had a football. Everybody around us screamed as we wrestled on the floor.

“Get off!” Anonymoose shouted as I pinned him. “You’re hurting me!”

“I got you!” I said, laughing like a maniac. “I won the game! Tell Christmas that the North Pole is now closed for business!!”

Uh… I’m not great at one-liners.

Grasping both sides of the moose mask, I yanked it off the boy’s head and tossed it aside.

I didn’t know who the kid was – didn’t matter.

“I win!” I shouted, still on top of him. “I win, I win, I win!”

I looked around to find Zoe to tell her that I had just saved her dance and her presidency and that she could relax, but what I saw instead were DOZENS of other kids wearing moose masks, staring at me with hollow eyes.

There was more than one Anonymoose??

Were they like the Scavengers??

It suddenly felt like I was in the middle of a fever dream. I grabbed the empty moose mask from the ground and started swinging it at the kids around me.

“Get away!” I said.

The meese shrieked, and yes, I said meese.
